The Canada Yunnan People's Asscoation was officially established on February 19, 2023, upon approval by the British Columbia Registry Services of the Government of Canada, with registration number S0077793.

It is a non-political, non-religious, and non-profit community organization.

 

The purpose of establishing this federation is to connect and unite people from Yunnan, promote civil, economic, and cultural exchanges between Yunnan and both the eastern and western regions of Canada, and to pool collective wisdom and resources for shared development.

The Federation aims to build an interactive platform for Yunnan communities across Canada, enhance the social standing and positive, healthy public image of people from Yunnan in Canadian society, and organize various large-scale community and cultural events for Yunnan compatriots in Canada.

 

In addition, the Federation is committed to promoting cooperation and development between Yunnan and Canada in areas such as aviation, education, trade, and tourism
